| Mike has decades of Electrical Quality Assurance experience; working in Engineering, Electrical Plan Review, and Electrical Inspection / and as Electrical AHJ or assisting the AHJ in a variety of locations. US Government BPA, DOE, and city jurisdictions for electric utilities in substations from 15 Kv up to 230 Kv; as well as Industrial, Commercial, Explosion-Proof, Agricultural, and Residential installations.
His inspections / surveillances and reports are fair, fatual and thorough, looking for compliance with;

- NESC - National Electrical Safety Code
- UL / NRTL / UL 508A, OSHA
- State WAC 296-46B Rules / RCW 19.28
- DOE Requirements, such as NQA1 and Safety per DOE 359
- Field Evaluation of Electrical and C & I Equipment.
- (CE Equipment - European equipment certified for use in Europe under the 'CE' label). The CE label does not meet OSHA Standards, and is not acceptable by OSHA, State Laws, and NEC for energization and use in the United States. Mike has extensive experience work with UL to evaluate CE equipment to determine required modifications in order to gain compliance for and labeling for use in the U.S.).
Mike has led and managed teams performing inspection / QA / QC / survellance work, written inspection programs and procedures, trained and hired qulaified persons to perform inspections on nuclear projects.
He is a Master Certified Electrical Inspector and Electrical Plan Reviewer. He has performed a wide variety of electrical work, including installations, which helps his understanding of what it takes to perform quality work. He has been a strong contributor to the NEC, has served on 3 NEC Code Committees, and was the Author of New Article 425 for Industrial Heating Equipment in the 2017 NEC.
He is an experienced Electrical AHJ Chief Electrical Inspector – 15 years in City Jurisdictions, and supporting the AHJ for 15 years on Dept. of Energy ( DOE ) Sites.
He has been rewarded numerous times for his QA / Quality Control efforts, provides training to electricians, engineering groups, management groups, and electrical workers for the US Government; as well as large engineering firms, contractor and apprentice groups across the nation and overseas.
